Dr. Carmen Winkel arbeitet an der Schnittstelle von Bildungsforschung, Digitalisierung und qualitativer Sozialforschung. Ihre Schwerpunkte liegen auf dem Einsatz von KI-gestützten Lehr- und Prüfungsformaten (u. a. mit Large Language Models), auf Fragen der Akzeptanz und Wirksamkeit innovativer Lerntechnologien sowie auf der Anwendung narrativer und partizipativer Methoden wie der Oral History. In ihrer Forschung verbindet sie interdisziplinäre Zugänge mit einem besonderen Interesse an transkultureller Hochschullehre und Methodenentwicklung.
